What is a Toy library?

In the toy library, you and your children can choose from more than 300 quality toys and games, which you can borrow just like books from the library!

Toysaurus community

The monthly membership fee of CZK 250 includes the right to rent of up to 5 different toys at once! You will always have the right toy on hand for your child from birth to 6 years of age.

How does it work?

Borrowing toys is easy!

STEP 1 : Register to become a member of the Toylibrary

STEP 2 : Decide on your membreship level

STEP 3 : Choose up to five toys to borrow

STEP 4 : Enjoy the toys at home

STEP 5 : Return the toys back and borrow new ones

Členem se můşe stát kdokoliv starší 18 let, kdo sdílí naÅ¡e hodnoty a rád se stane součástí Toysaurus komunity a přispěje tak k fungování knihovny.

Registraci je moÅŸné udělat on-line přes webové stránky Toysauru. Po odeslání přihlášky vám bude zřízeno členské konto, kde si zvolíte druh členství a následně si můşete vybrat první hračky.

Zvolte si členství
V dalším kroku máte moÅŸnost si zvolit druh členství, které vám nejvíce vyhovuje. Můşete vybírat mezi měsíčním (250 Kč), půlročním (1430 Kč) a ročním (2750 Kč) členstvím.  Rozhodnete-li se pro měsíční anebo půlročního členství, poşádáme vás o sloÅŸení vratné zálohy (1000 Kč). Rovněş velké a největší hračky si budete moct vypůjčit aÅŸ po nějaké době.  Padne-li vaÅ¡e volba na roční členství, nemusíte skládat vratnou zálohu a můşete si od začátku půjčovat vÅ¡echny hračky.
Vyberte si hračku

Po dobu trvání členství vám bude kaÅŸdÃœ měsíc na vaÅ¡e Toysaurus konto připsáno 10 bodů, za které si můşete vybrat hračky z naÅ¡eho katalogu. KaÅŸdá hračka v naÅ¡em katalogu je bodově ohodnocena a kaÅŸdÃœ měsíc si můşete vypůjčit hračky v celkovém součtu aÅŸ 10 Toysauřích bodů. 

Hračky si vyberete z on-line katalogu a zvolíte si způsob doručení nebo fyzické vyzvednutí.

Hrajte si

Sledujte, jak si vaÅ¡e děti uşívají nové hračky. 

Vraťte hračku

VÃœpůjční doba hraček je jeden měsíc a po jejím uplynutí vás poprosíme o jejich vrácení.

NeÅŸ hračky vrátíte, ujistěte se, ÅŸe jsou v pořádku, omyté a čisté.

Pro vrácení hraček vyuÅŸijte členské konto, kde rovněş můşete nahlásit poÅ¡kození, ztrátu nebo nekompletnost hračky. 

Hračky můşete zaslat nebo je vrátit fyzicky. Před cestou do knihovny si prosím zkontrolujte vÃœpůjční dobu pobočky.

Why joinig us?

The library's collection is regularly updated with new toys and resources based on the feedback we receive from our members.

Borrowing and thus returning toys brings optimal solutions to the problems of endless storage of unpopular toys. You no longer have to look for a place to store  old toys, or a way to get rid of them gently. You no longer have to store toys at home, but you can simply replace them as needed.

Save money

For the price of an annual membership, you could buy two big toys, but with us you can borrow up to 50 toys a year! In our toy library you will have access to more than 300 different items that you can swap. The toy library encourages borrowing toys rather than buying them. 

Did you know that 1 in 4 toys is fun for children only in the first week and that parents in the Czech Republic spend an average of about CZK 6,000 a year on toys? With us, you can shrink your toy budget and have unobtrusive toys that your children can endlessly enjoy.

Test toys before buying them

You can borrow a toy from the library and have the opportunity to find out if it is the right choice for your family. You will quickly know if your child is really interested in the toy or not. You will be able to avoid buying a toys just because they exist.

If you borrow the same toy over and over, it's a clear sign that you're safe with your purchase.

Come to play and chat

Members can take advantage of the additional benefits of the Toysaurus community of parents, grandparents and children both czech and expats! We organize various events and open days for children so they can come and play with us (within the limits of coronavirus restrictions) and parents can talk openly about their joys and worries associated with their children. 

We also offer the opportunity for development of your skills and hobbies by supporting the library through volunteering and thus actively contributing to the activities of the association.

Be good to the planet

The Toysaurus toy library offers an opportunity to reduce the impact on our planet, so that the generation we are raising will be able to enjoy it.

When you decide to be a member of a toy library:

  • You will reduce the overall consumption of toys
  • You will save toys that would sooner or later end up in a landfill
  • You will teach your children the importance of being careful and taking care of things that do not belong to them
  • You will reduce the amount of resources used to make toys and the excessive amount of waste material generated by toy packaging.

Toysaurus, z.s. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring the power of play to all children and provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment for families in our toy library. The toy Toysaurus Library is run by both parents and non-parents, who volunteer their time to make the place accessible to families so that they can come together and for their children to as enjoy as many different toys as possible.

Do not worry if you can’t donate money, there are plenty of other ways to support, including volunteering.
